So.... This is the first of many blog posts that will be shared here. These blogs will included everything from horror stories at gigs and shows, tips and tricks for you and your instrument and we will even be getting guest writers in for the blog!
After teaching a couple guitar lessons in chippenham, I was on my way to the Blueberry Music studio, when it occurred to me that a blog would be a great way to share all these little bits of information with you all that we get to briefly discuss in lessons, but never go in to too much detail because we're in the middle of a lesson! So for those of you who are interested in our stories, our industry tips or quite happy to listen (or read in this case) about our experiences in the music industry. This is for you! It seems only right that the first post of the blog explains the first stage of Blueberry Music and how we came about!
It all started many moons ago when I had the opportunity of meeting up with an old friend who I hadn't seen in a few years who we now all know and love as Tommy Lloyd himself!
We began talking about all the crazy experiences and stuff we had learnt while studying music at university, as I studied in Bristol and Tommy studied in Cardiff we wanted to compare the differences in the courses we took. We did this while we were chowing down on the biggest pizza we could get our hand on at the local pizza hut (which was spectacular) I began to tell Tommy about a couple of drum lessons I was teaching in Calne at the time, and he told me about a few Piano lessons, and bass lessons he was teaching in Dauntsey. We exchanged stories of not only teaching tips and ideas, but also the struggles we had which included our want to be able to teach drums on acoustic drum kits rather than electric ones, have all our resources in one place, and most importantly a studio where we could recorded not only our own music, but music for students, letting them get a hands on approach to the studio side of music as well!
Thus the idea of Blueberry Music was born, Now we have a functioning studio that we are proud to teach from, offering different music lessons to all ages, and with the addition of Edd, our specialized singing tutor, we are stronger than ever!
Keep an eye on this blog as we will be updating it weekly with all the latest stuff from us!
